“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.”
Biography
Jina is a CPA and Certified Diversity Executive® who, after over 22 years in practice, moved to working with accounting firms and organizations to build inclusive cultures. Jina is known for her imaginative approach to accounting.
After she sold her firm, Etienne & Associates, LLC, she went to the AICPA where she started looking holistically at the profession and looking at the different types and styles of being a CPA in practice and how can we support all of them. Then she went to NABA where she was the CEO. More recently, she led Grant Thornton’s D&I team as Director of Diversity & Inclusion.
Her work in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) goes beyond the number, focusing on understanding the experiences of those in the profession. Jina has an eye for seeing connections between ideas and turning them into solutions.
Jina’s approach to DEIB includes creating training programs and workshops to help clients advance in their inclusion journey.

Her unique background and diverse work experiences enable her to offer valuable insights and practical advice to executives, management, employees, and customers.
Her passion is helping professionals build deep connections, cultivate safety, and thrive as inclusive, mindful and trusted leaders. Through her consultancy, Jina continues to empower leaders, improve workplace relationships, and foster a sense of belonging within diverse teams.
