Biography

Meet Victor Amaya: The Tech-Savvy CPA Who Solves Money Mysteries.

Victor isn’t your typical accountant—he’s a Virtual CFO who blends number skills with cutting-edge tech to help businesses grow smarter and faster. Today, he leads at RKL LLP, but his career path has been anything but boring.

Victor kicked off his career at PwC in Denver, one of the biggest accounting firms in the world. A few years later, he took a bold leap and started his own firm, ClearPath Advisors, where he guided small businesses with taxes, strategy, and big-picture financial planning.

After nearly a decade of working with entrepreneurs, Victor pivoted into the technology world. At Botkeeper, a start-up mixing AI with human smarts, he helped firms use MACHINE LEARNING for BOOKKEEPING. Then, at AuditMiner, he helped accountants adopt software that sped up audits and saved tons of time. His message is clear: technology isn’t here to replace CPAs—it’s here to make them superheroes.

Victor doesn’t just work behind the scenes. He’s been Chair of the Colorado Society of CPAs, served on national boards like the AICPA’s Council, and continues to MENTOR and LEAD across the profession.

Outside of work, Victor lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife, Kim, and their two kids, Ellie and Julian. He’s just as adventurous outdoors as he is in the office—you’ll find him fly fishing, camping, or hunting when he’s not solving financial puzzles.
